HISTORICAL OVERVIEW: The Tempi have a long history, somewhat similar to Earth's though much less bloody. Unfortunately, the Tempi also appear to have been the victim of a time Travel incident. The incident has been thoroughly investigated by Temporal Investigation and the case has been closed. The details are as follows. Around the year 4 BCE (Before the Common Era, Earth Standard), Starfleet personnel are known to have briefly interacted with the population. An artifact, employing Federation technology was found in an archeological dig. It is believed it came from an alternate timeline in which an away team from the USS Terra Nova was accidentally sent back in time. Tempi history records no accounts of this visit. The visit appears to have created two timelines, The first was one in which the Starfleet personnel were removed. It is this one in which this report is being written. Following the removal of the Starfleet personnel, the notable civilization of Adarra followed a peaceful and history. It became a cultural beacon to the planet and eventually, the catalyst for the world government and peace Tempus now enjoys. In the second reality, interference by a Starfleet officer changed Adarran history when he became a military and political leader and changed the focus of the country from a cultural and educational one, to one of militaristic conquest. Based on fragmentary data and interviews with victims of a form of temporal psychosis that occurred as a result of the time disruption, this interference ultimately resulted in the annihilation of the planetary population through some sort of biological or technological plague. This timeline has been annihilated. Starfleet's first official encounter with the Tempi was in 2376 by envoys sent by the Yetanni (See Yetanni) and the USS Liberty. The Federation currently has an archeology team studying the ancient ruins on the planet. RACIAL DESCRIPTION: The Tempi are a humanoid species that in most ways are indistinguishable from humans. It is believed this may be another case of Hodgkin's Law of Parallel Planetary Development. CULTURAL CHARACTERISTICS: The Tempi are an open and enlightened race, that enjoy peace and trade with nearby neighbors. GOVERNMENT: The Tempi have a unified parliamentary styled planetary government. TECHNOLOGY: The Tempi are warp capable at low warp speeds. They have reached the equivalent of technology common in the late 21st century on Earth.
