INYO ASSASINATION
Righteous Blue claims responsibilty
In an audio announcement via the Romulan News Agency yesterday, the Federation Anti-Expansionist Movement -- now wishing to be known by the name Righteous Blue -- has released a statement claiming all responsibility for the assassination death of Federation President Jaresh Inyo last week. Inyo was killed when sabotage destroyed his Presidential envoy to the Klingon Homeworld
. Both Starfleet escort vessels were also destroyed in the attack.

TOLOVIAN CONFLICT
Tolovian Diplomat found dead
Gamma Quadrant – With the Tolovian conflict twenty-five days old and predicted to erupt into bloodshed any day now, political matters were further complicated when Tolovian Prime Ambassador, Guzashi Mitsampatabi was found dead in his chambers earlier this morning. Murder is the suspected cause of death.

PRESIDENTIAL INAUGURATION
Vice-President sworn in
Earlier this morning, Federation Vice President Marcus Clarke was officially sworn into office as the new leader of the United Federation of Planets. He succeeds Jaresh Inyo who was assassinated en-route to Alliance talks on the Klingon Homeworld earlier last week. Clarke is in agreement with the policies of his predecessor, and has vowed to follow in Inyo's footsteps.

Klingon house vows revenge
The Klingon Diplomatic House of Sitar has vowed "utter and humiliating vengence" on those who assassinated UFP President Jaresh Inyo earlier last week. Among those killed in the attack was Ambassador J'Tol, the Sitar representative to the Alliance Council.

New Urbaine desires to join baseball
In an audio interview yesterday with sports anchor Timicin Smitts, New Urbaine shop owner Zulu Mpofu -- also the commissioner of Urbaine Baseball -- stated his interest in adding New Urbaine to the RSBL -- Ryalli Sector Baseball League. According to him, baseball has thrived in the colony for over one hundred years, and has produced players "as good as, or better than Earth's baseball legends."

Urbaine opera heads to Sydney, Earth
In an interesting shift of culture, the Sydney Opera House in the Australian Province on Earth, has announced today that they have acquired the rights to perform one of New Urbaine's premiere operatic productions, "The Madame
of Middleton Way". Written sixty years ago on New Urbaine, this opera will attempt to introduce Urbaine culture to eager Earth audiences.

Ferenginar to build copycat memorial
It was announced late last week that renowned Ferengi architect Zuzu Toc has decided to try his hand at building something uniquely new to the Ferenginar city scape -- an replica of Earth's Statue of Liberty. He hasn't chosen to share why he wishes to create such an odd and alien addition to his home planet. Rumor has it that he may eventually choose to give Lady Liberty a Ferengi makeover. He, however, has yet to either confirm or deny that claim.
