| BACKGROUND |
|
||||||||||||||||||||
| 2351: Born in Samura Province on Trill. 2368: Tamar is joined with the Klan symbiont. 2375: Graduates from Starfleet Academy. 2378: Serves for a short while onboard the USS Terra Nova. CHILDHOOD: Born the son to a well-known Trill ambassador in 2351, Tamar had the best of education that was to offer on the planet from a young age on. But to say he made the best of it, is an understatement. He found that he felt no need for education, and that he’d rather use his time on practical things such as his martial arts training, piloting lessons, or anything considered to be of good use. EDUCATION: In Intermediate School he worked at an average level of success, and got average reports and marks, better that you would think given the school’s difficulty, but he could have done better. He really wasn’t sure what he would do with his education, until what he considered to be the most important event in his life happened -- his joining. Just because of his heritage, and his father's status, Tamar found himself eligible for this cause, but without the heritage he probably would have never been joined. It seemed that the perfect symbiont had been found for him right from the beginning -- the Klan symbiont. This symbiont was genetically compatible to him, and its past hosts were remarkably similar to his personality and profile. The joining completely changed his life, and it changed both his philosophy on certain things and his plans for the future. Throughout the past experiences of his previous fives hosts he learned many things -- a martial arts instructor who broadened his mind, and eventually caused him to learn new forms of self-defense beyond those of Trill, a Starfleet security officer whose views helped him to decide to join Starfleet, a professional athlete from whom his love for sports and competitive nature developed further, a young medical apprentice from whom almost any medical experience he has came from, and a junior ambassador, who instilled in him a desire to explore and meet new peoples. His parents, of course, were not very pleased about Tamar's newfound interest in joining Starfleet, especially his father who refused to give support, but in the end it was still Tamar’s decision to make. During his last year of schooling on Trill he studied to no end, hoping that it would be enough to get him into the academy. He just barely made the cuts for the entrance exam, and how he managed to pass the exam itself seemed like a miracle. He had made it, and now nothing would stop him. The next four years were all but a blur to Tamar. All he could manage to do was keep studying, and keep up his grades, so that he could stay in Starfleet Academy. Some subjects came easily to him such as physical trainings or courses on philosophy and theory, but others such as Engineering and Science courses didn’t go nearly as well. He majored in Security / Tactical, and minored in Helm and Navigations. Finally, the four years were up, and he expected to be posted on a ship shortly thereafter. But, he had found out that he had been recommended for command school within the security track. How this happened, he hardly knew. His grades were hardly something to boast much about, and he suspected he finished in around the bottom 50 percent of his class. It appeared thought that somebody still liked him, and thought he still had potential. What this potential was, he hardly could guess at, but he took advantage of the opportunity, assuming that it would indeed become useful. He actually enjoyed these two years, finding them much more practical and useful than the standard four he had spent at the Academy. STARFLEET SERVICE: In 2375 he was assigned to his first tour of duty, the USS Fredrickson. In 2378 he served for a short while as Chief Security/Tactical Officer onboard the USS Terra Nova, before requesting a less combat oriented reassignment planetside at Liberty Station. - - |

| PERSONALITY PROFILE |
|
||||||||||||||||||||
| He is a retatively lone and protective
individual. He’s not particularity shy, nor under spoken, he just has a
hard time making friends, given his unique past. He’ll say a simple hello
or acknowledge you, but he doesn’t say too much more unless spoken too or
if it’s about something ‘official’. He’s a humbled individual. He’ll never
abandon a comrade, nor question orders unless he has a very valid reason
to do so. He’ll still give his opinion on the matter, but once the higher-ranking
officer has made his decision, he accepts it. He tries to be friendly with
other members of the crew. Although he doesn’t make friends easily, once you do befriend him, you’ll find a friend that will never let you down and whom you can trust. He’s very thoughtful and will often wear a pensive expression. Just to keep it straight, he’s also not emotionless, but good natured. He’s a confident person and a good speaker, which helps contribute to his leadership abilities. However, on the contrary, some weaknesses come with this personality. If Tamar can’t find an answer to a problem, he’ll often become frustrated in himself. He always puts himself at blame, and won’t accept that there was nothing he could have or can do. He’ll also put himself in unnecessary danger to protect others. Although he’s normally calm, he may become aggressive in certain situations which can either be a blessing or a curse. - - |

| PHYSICAL PROFILE |
|
||||||||||||||||||||
|
Tamar
is a tall and well-built individual, ringing in at 6'4", and 240 lbs. Although he’s not astoundingly muscular,
for his weight he’s very well built. Being a Trill, he has a distinctive
set of spots that runs from his forehead down his feet. His hair is completely
black, short on the sides and back, and of medium length on top that’s never
‘wild’, just not usually combed.
-
His most unique feature is probably his eyes. Not only do they have a unique depth and wisdom to them, but they’re also bright azure color, as if they glow of their own accord. - |

| SPECIAL NOTES |
|
||||||||||||||||||||
| Although Tamar always respected his
father, he never felt truly connected to him as he knew he should. He was
closer to his mother, but yet they were also far apart as well. He grew up
a loner, not really caring for friends. He thought this was just because
of his individuality. However, once Tamar was joined, he realized another
truth about why he didn’t have many friends. From his own thoughts and his
previous host’s experiences, he finally realized that many of the Trill race
was arrogant (usually the joined-ones), and they thought they were better
than others. This separated him even more from his homeworld and eventually
also caused him to seek Starfleet. Tamar has greatly come to respect the human race. Being used to the arrogant race he grew up in, humans really surprised him. The fact that anyone could act so kind and open, even if they didn’t mean it, surprised him. .... While he spent time on earth at the Academy, he also spent a lot of his time learning human forms of Martial Arts such as Kempo, Kung Fu, Tae Kwon Do, and Karate. Although he never really considered himself a soldier, with his training and strategy he could make one in a pinch. The one problem is that he’s very good at using his body as a weapon, and although he has taught himself how to use weapons such as throwing knives, he is still only average with a phaser in hand.
