| 2351: Born in Bolsetu City, Rasara on Bolarus IX. 2377: Graduates from Starfleet Academy. EDUCATION: Tonar's career began with the Bolian Intelligence Academy at the age of 18. The BIA isn't an overly large operation but it is geared towards maintaining Bolian interests within Bolian space and its colonies. Tonar learned the basics of intelligence researching, gathering and operations during his four years of service. He also obtained a Terran equivalent of a BSc in Anthropology. At age 22, Tonar took the skills he'd learned and applied them during his four years at Starfleet Academy. Though he was given the option of entering Starfleet Intelligence, Tonar felt he'd had enough exposure to the life of an intelligence agent with the BIA so instead chose the disciplines of Security and Tactical. Thankfully, his prior skills allowed Tonar to have a fairly easy time of it at the Academy, allowing him to concentrate on building relations and better understanding the cultures surrounding him. STARFLEET SERVICE: After graduation at age 26, Tonar elected to remain behind at Starfleet Academy as a security officer. This was a very simple job, of course, but he supplemented his duties by helping out as an instructor's assistant. This allowed Tonar to wait for a starship assignment as it was something he most wanted to do. It was during this year at the Academy that Tonar better learned the administrative portion of security work. Finally, the call came in as he was informed that the USS Terra Nova had an opening available. Tonar wanted to take the offered position and accepted the invitation as it meant the starship duty he was looking for. Shortly thereafter, he took transport on the USS Saginaw, arriving in the distant Ryalli Sector and accepting his posting onboard the USS Terra Nova. Unfortunately, as luck would have it, orders were changed at the last minute, and Tonar was reassigned to Liberty Station to fill a hole in security. His dream of a tour on a starship would have to wait for a little while longer. Not long later, per his request, he was finally assigned to the refit USS Thunderbird as Ast. | PERSONALITY PROFILE |

| Tonar can be
abrupt sometimes but that is most usually when he is performing his duties.
He takes the security of the ship and crew very seriously and is not above
telling his superiors what he feels is best for them if it involves their
safety. At other times, though, Tonar can be rather engaging. He's always
had an interest in other cultures and is always eager to learn more about
others. What Tonar lacks in starfleet experience he tries to make up with hard work and determination. He hates the idea that something cannot be done and will try his best to find any alternative, no matter how small. Tonar is very fond of Terran history. He also has one of the most voracious appetites ever seen. His meals are often large - what he considers a single meal, others would consider 2 or 3 meals in one - and numerous. He never 'feels right' unless he's had is customary five meals in a day. Due to his high metabolism and strict excercise regimen, Tonar manages to keep his weight at his optimum level. - - |

Bolians are humanoid. They are distinguished by their light blue
skin, a bifurcated ridge which runs down the center of their faces, and
a cartilaginous lining on their tongues. While they do have hair, males
shave it as a sign of physical prowess; some females do likewise. Bolians
have blue-coloured blood, and their blood chemistry is quite different from
that of Vulcans; Vulcan blood is toxic to Bolians, and vice-versa. Andorian
blood, on the other hand, is compatible with Bolian blood.

Bolians are also characterized by their meticulousness. They pay a great deal of attention to detail and efficiency, and enjoy creating order out of chaos. They work very hard, considering their duties to be a matter of honor. However, they do not consider failure to be a bad thing -- only not trying in the first place is looked down upon. As long as he gives a task his best effort, a Bolian sees no shame in failing; nothing in the universe is simple and one can always learn from one's mistakes and try again. Tonar, like many of his race, is meticulous, selfless and highly dedicated. They are traits the UFP, and Starfleet, value in their blue-skinned allies. - |
