| BACKGROUND |
|
||||||||||||||||||||
| 2344: Born in Dublin on Earth. 2366: Graduates from Starfleet Academy. 2375: Graduates from Starfleet Medical. CHILDHOOD: Trace Benjamin Allel was born in 2344 at the Dublin Community Health Center. His father Stephen was working as a nano-technologist at a local research facility and later served as a Federation Nano-technologist. Trace spent most of his time with his mother Margaret, who was a teacher at the Dublin Elementary School. As he grew older, and as his father grew more distant because of his work, Trace often sought refuge from his loneliness by talking with the History teacher at his high school, an obese Red-Haired man with a thick Scottish accent. Trace obtained an interest in the philosophy of the Ancient Greeks and Romans from the big man, but his interest was even more strongly drawn to their medical practices. EDUCATION: After graduating in the top 10% of his high school class, 18-year-old Trace decided to go to Starfleet Academy. His deep-seeded interest in medicine and his ability to research lead him into the Medical branch of the academy. As a challenge to himself, he went into advanced courses on Genetics and Genetic theory. He struggled, but managed to stay in the upper 50% of his graduating class. STARFLEET SERVICE: Assigned as Second Assistant Researcher to the Federation Ship, USS Corelloon. He conducted research into Jem Hadar genetic code. In 2370, he was promoted to Lead Researcher and Medical Assistant (Lt. JG) after the First assistant, former Lead Researcher, and Chief Nurse were killed by sabotage. With his new duties as Medical Assistant and with his focus diverted from Genetics, he found what he truly wanted to do. He wanted to be a Medical Doctor. In 2375, after three more years of intensive study at Starfleet Medical, he graduated with his Starfleet medical degree and was assigned to the Intrepid class USS Avalon. Two years later, with his background in Genetic research, Trace was then transferred to the Advanced Bio-Assay and Life-Form analysis Laboratory on Liberty Station. With his move to Liberty Station came a promotion to Chief Medical Assistant (Lt) and Supervisor of Genetic Research into Ryalli Sector life forms. After a few months on Liberty, and finally having tired of research, Trace put in for a transfer once more in order to better utilize his skills as a doctor.... He was assigned as Chief Medical Officer on the small defiant class USS Terra Nova. In October 2378, he requested a transfer to the relaunched USS Thunderbird and was granted the position. He serves onboard as the Chief Medical Officer. - - |

| PERSONALITY PROFILE |
|
||||||||||||||||||||
| Trace is a very focused worker. He is very relaxed and conversational,
when time permits, and is good at keeping those under him on-task. He is
quick to smile when the job is done right. He is patient, but stern
when a mistake is made. When he makes a mistake, he is very hard on himself. He has deep-seated anger toward his father for being so distant and, in a way, toward himself. He feels that it is his fault that he doesn’t know his father. In trying to compensate for that missing part of his life, he occasionally overcompensates by getting too close to the people he works with. When he has a difficult day and needs to relax, he turns the lights down and sips a glass of wine while listening to classical music. That is one thing that he remembers about his father, that he liked listening to that genre of music. - - |

| PHYSICAL PROFILE |
|
||||||||||||||||||||
|
At 5’9”, Trace is not imposing. He has an average build. He is
confident in his abilities at the professional level, and his posture
shows that. He has not gotten out much, though, so his complexion is rather
pasty, to say the least. It is a sharp contrast to his black hair. His
eyes are sharp, focused, and bright blue.

| SPECIAL NOTES |
|
||||||||||||||||||||
| Trace had two older
sisters who were miscarried. The cause of the miscarriage was unknown
to all but his father and his father’s co-workers. Unknown to Trace and
to his mother, his father was performing experiments on human test subjects
using organic technology related to stem cells. His father performed experiments
on all three of his children while they were still in-utero, causing the
two miscarriages. His father was later tried and convicted of a different
murder. FAMILY RECORD: Stephen Allel: -- Father -- Convict, Federation Penal Settlement, Auckland, New Zealand Margaret Allel: -- Mother -- Teacher, Dublin Elementary School - |
