| 2350: Born on July 4th in Del Rio, Texas, on Earth. 2367: Graduates from high school. Is accepted into Starfleet Academy. 2370: Marries his wife at the Starfleet Academy Chapel. 2371: Graduates from Starfleet Academy. 2374: Is promoted to the rank of Marine Captain. 2378: Is assigned to serve onboard the USS Terra Nova. CHILDHOOD: Shadran was born on July 4, 2350, in Del Rio, Texas, to Danis and Abigan Daysic, and co-parents Shadric and Sharay. Danis was a Deputy United Earth Marshal, and Abigan was an anesthesiologist. With his grandfather's coaching he began competing nationally and internationally in sharp shooting and western quick draw events, working his way up through the rankings to be considered a top world competitor. EDUCATION: He
took every survival class at the Academy, in all of the widely varied
environments and hostile conditions offered. Unlike most cadets, who
saw survival training as grueling, tedious, and frequently painful,
Shadran saw them as just another physically challenging sport and
consequently scored his highest grades at the Academy. Upon completion
of the training, he expressed disappointment there there were no
further offerings and went so far as to formally petition Starfleet for
new survival classes. Starfleet Academy is still considering some of
his recommendations. He married his wife and fellow cadet in 2369 at the Starfleet Academy Chapel. He became a father for the first time in 2370. He graduated from Starfleet Academy in 2371 and was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the Starfleet Marine Corps. In early-2372, he was promoted to 1st Lieutenant. He was badly injured in the line of duty, during the coup attempt at Sigma 2398. He was transferred to Starfleet Command while recovering from his wounds and was later awarded a purple heart and the Starfleet Cross for his actions during the incident. While at Starfleet Command, he served on the VIP security detail protecting high ranking officers and government officials in uniform and plainclothes situations, both on and off Earth. He was reassigned in 2373 to the 6th Marine Division. After participating in several major planetary skirmishes throughout the quadrant, his unit was stranded on Betazed during the Dominion invasion and occupation. They were declared Missing-in-Action, although it was later learned that they had launched and commanded a grassroots resistance against the occupying forces. He was awarded the Federation Star for his role in leading the resistance forces. In 2374, he was promoted to Captain and assigned to the 1st Marine Division, where he commanded strike forces on a multitude of contested planets and colonies. Following the conclusion of the Dominion War, the Marine Corps began to downsize. He chose to maintain his Marine commission and transfer to naval duties. He began to learn to speak Romulan, judging them as the next immediate potential threat against the Federation. He attended Starfleet’s Advanced Tactical School and, upon graduation, was assigned as assistant chief security officer to the USS London. In 2377, he was transferred to the USS Furious as the assistant chief security officer. In 2378, he was assigned as second officer and chief security officer to the USS Terra Nova. - |

Daysic has always demonstrated a singular dedication to duty,
responsibility, and loyalty, as well as a sense of protectiveness for
those around him. Following the family tradition into law enforcement
and, later, into Starfleet Security were natural progressions for him. He is generally known as an easy going man, but expects nothing less than the best from those around him -- particularly those under his authority. He is a strong advocate of the adage, "train as you fight," preferring frequent and intense drills and placing high bars on training and evaluations. - - |
