As she was growing up, she developed a very keen interest in the history of where she was from. Her friends would joke with her and tell her that she was a walking "Colorado Encyclopedia." As she got older and was able to travel out there with friends, as opposed to her parents on vacations, she developed a strong interest in photography. She has an extensive collection of photographs, many of which she makes a habit of displaying from time to time to "spruce up her quarters."

EDUCATION:
Naomi was educated at a small nearby Christian elementary school, and then when she was 14 or so, attended a small local public high school. All through high school she was generally the quiet one with her nose in a book studying, or just watching quietly. Her favorite subjects in high school were history and sociology. She was enthralled by those tales of old explorers who set out into the unknown for no other reason than to satistfy thier curiosity. Needless-to-say, Naomi had a simlilar stong curiousity as well as a wonderful sense of imagination. She decided that her career would also be one of exploration.

She graduated quite near the top of her class, but then again her graduating high school class only had 89 graduates. Her grades though were quite impressive as well, partially for her extreme love of history and it's explorers. Her post-high school education choices were between the Daystrom Institute of History or Starfleet Academy.... After some thought, she decided to go the space route, and chose the Academy.

She did well there, focusing a lot of her time on history courses, though she was not sure in what department to focus her studies. It wasn't until a friend of hers invited her to take a trip/vacation to a nearby Class M planet for a camping trip, that she decided to major in Navigations. She decided that that was the best step towards where she wanted to go. 

STARFLEET SERVICE:
In 2375 she graduated with honors from Starfleet Academy and was up or assignment. A Captain Dennis of the USS Invincible found her file and requested her to join the list of new crew assigned to his vessel. 

Ensign Morgan served well onboard the little Defiant Class vessel, and was there for a little over a year before things started to heat up. She met her new department head, Garrett Andrews, there and the two hit it off as great friends....

Unfortunately in late July 2377, the Borg incident befell the Invincible, and while defending engineering from a Borg drone attack, she was thrown from the upper level of engineering and suffered serious spinal danage and a crushed left kneecap. The Borg attack was quelled, however Naomi would need to be transferred back to Starfleet Medical on Earth for reconstructive surgury and recovery.

The Medical treatment went well, and Naomi began the healing process. Luckily after being cleared to leave the Starfleet Medical Treatment Center, sh was able to spend time recovering in her home of Colorado with family and friends.... it helped.

In late 2377, her recovery was at a stage that she could serve again. The new vessel, the USS Terra Nova was in need of crew. Ironically, Naomi's friend Garrett had been tranferred there following the near destruction of the USS Invincible in her absence. Garrett came to visit Naomi on Earth after the Invincible limped back to Earth for major repairs. He asked if she would be willing to serve under him on the Terra Nova. Honored, she accepted. In mid-November 2377, Ensign Naomi Morgan was assigned to the USS Terra Nova as a Navigations Officer.
