BACKGROUND

2359: Born to Starfleet doctors, Joseph and Abegail Markenson in San Francisco, Earth.
2376: Graduates from high school.
2378: Graduates from Basic Training. Assigned to USS Avalon.
2378: Accepts assignment to USS Terra Nova.

CHILDHOOD:
Born into a family of Starfleet and medical service, it was often hard for Erinne to escape the expectations that not only would she some day join Starfleet, but she would become a doctor as well. For not only were both her parents in the medical profession, but was her uncle, a doctor, and two of her aunts, nurses. Perhaps the only person in her family who was not a doctor was her Aunt Kathryn, a Starfleet diplomatic officer.

When confronted so forthrightly by her family in regards to her future plans, Erinne always laughed it off simply because she was intent on living a normal life. She concentrated on being with her friends, enjoying extracurricular activities, and discovering who she was as an individual through varied experiences and interests. In every sense of the term, with the exception of having a Starfleet family, Erinne lived a "normal" earth childhood.

EDUCATION:
Upon graduating from high school, Erinne finally began to seriously question her future plans. She was not inclined to continue in college, so she took up odd jobs for several months, including lifeguarding and orienteering. She was quite content to live a life of little exertion. And she probably would have if she hadn't spoken to her Aunt Kathryn at a family reunion. Kathryn, a diplomatic officer, mentioned that Erinne might enjoy joining Starfleet not for medicine but for diplomacy. Erinne's personality was suited for a life of interaction with others. She was won over, but not completely. She did not fancy four more years of education! It was partially due to laziness and partially due to anxious anticipation to get started that she opted for basic training.

The rest of the family's reaction to her enlistment was mixed. While her parents were happy that she was expanding the Starfleet legacy, her career path confused them. They were also concerned about her heading off into space after only a year.

STARFLEET SERVICE:
BErinne's first assignment out of basic training was onboard the USS Avalon, headed out to the distant Ryalli Sector. Shortly after her arrival, and the closure of the Valadis Corridor, however, she was transferred to Liberty Station for a few months, and then in September, she was reassigned to the Defiant Class USS Terra Nova.

PERSONALITY PROFILE

Erinne enjoys the simple life but also wants to do something meaningful. She's charismatic, confident, high spirited and independent.

PHYSICAL PROFILE

Tall, slender and athletic. She also has the piercing, yet playful green-blue "Markenson" eyes. She is five foot 8 inches tall, and weighs 135lbs.

SPECIAL NOTES

Because nearly everyone in Erinne's family has some connection to the medical field in some way, she stays away from it at all costs. She is an EMT but doesn't like to advertise it. Of course, if there ever were a situation that needed her to use her traiing, she wouldn't shirk it. But she would rather the "professionals" handled any major medical issues. She wants to get as far away from the legacy of Markensons as doctors as possible.

Her nicknames are E.C. or Rin.

She's not very religious and jokes that "Joe Pesci is her God."
