BACKGROUND
2351: Born in Milwaukee, Earth.
2373: Cassie graduates from college.

CHILDHOOD:

Cassie was born in 2351, on Earth in the city of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She was the eldest of three siblings. Her father taught English at one of the local private colleges, and her mother was a homemaker tending the house and children. Of Cassie's siblings, her brother Joshua is two years younger than her, and her sister Samantha is four years the youngest.

When she was growing up, Cassie became very close with her family, especially her siblings. She'd spend a lot of time around the Milwaukee area exploring and getting used to her life there. From an early age she took a keen interest in history. When she was in high school, she began visiting the local libraries and hall of records on a regular basis, investigating old maps, old housing records, and the like. By the time she had graduated from high school, history had become a passion for her.

EDUCATION:
When she was 18, she recieved a full-ride scholarship from the college her father taught English at -- Milwaukee Lutheran College -- so she decided to attend there, pursuing history and continuing to explore and investigate history as she had the chance. From time to time she would also take the opportunity to visit the Western United States (where, at one point she met Garrett Andrews who would become First Officer of the USS Terra Nova) and explore the vast National Park Lands and Historical Monuments. During these trips, she also took a fond interest in the Alamo in Texas, which, incidently had survived WWIII.

Back in college in Milwaukee, she met a friend in her Junior year, while working on a history project, who was adept at holoprogramming. Following that project, Cassie also began to take an interest in exploring history through holo adventures. In fact, she actually took quite an interest in placing herself into historic time periods and experiencing what life was like. She never really became addicted to the holodeck, but combing it's use with her real-life exploratory endeavors, she became quite knowledged in the study of history.

STARFLEET SERVICE:
When she graduated college, she found herself with a tough decision.... remain on Earth and continue to explore the endless history her homeworld presented, or, venture out into space and see what that held in store? After careful, and sometimes lengthy decision, she opted for the space end of things. She didn't really have an interest in joining the space navy or Starfleet, but as that seemed her best option to travel, she compromised. The Galaxy Class USS Liberty was in orbit at the time, preparing for another deep space assignment, so, she contacted the captain and requested the assignment to the ship's civilian history department. Based upon her education history, she was granted the position and was hired onboard.

Unfortunately, her service on the Liberty was quite a bit shorter than she had hoped. Only after a few months of dedicated service onboard, the Liberty was destroyed out in the Ryalli Sector while aiding a species known as the Yetanni. The astroid threatening their homeworld was successfully deflected, but not without the complete loss of the Liberty's stardrive section. The remaining saucer section came to rest on the planet, and her employment on the galaxy class Liberty came to an end.

Thankfully, however, with the Liberty now planetbound, it was decided that the saucer would be repaired and serve as Liberty Station, the only Federation outpost in the Ryalli Sector. Cassie once again had a challenging decision ahead of her.... remain on the station, or return home to Earth. Still intruiged by history, and this uneplored sector she now found herself in, she opted to remain a historian on Liberty Station. Commander Kelso (former Liberty First Officer) granted her a field commission as a full Crewman, and hired her on as the station's Chief Historian.

She has been serving on the station since it crashed on Liberty Plateau in 2373. Her marks have been distinguished and she has been instramental in gathering and recording Federation records from the sector. Her future as a historian appears to be a long and eventful one.

PERSONALITY PROFILE
Cassie is perhaps a bit spunky and has a sense of humor her co-workers tend to appreciate. She has an intense, deeply-rooted love of history and exploration, and seems to enjoy every aspect of her career. She is happy, and rarely doesn't show it. Her life is where she had hoped it would be.

She can be fun-loving, and serious when she needs to be. She remains single, and enjoys that status, despite being considered by many who know her as the "Belle of the Station". Occassionally she has the challenge of being hit on by men that don't know her. She takes it in stride though, and at times has fun with the situation. She wouldn't really be considered a flirt, just spunky, fun-loving, and witty in her free time. Most who have come to know her, like her. She has a strong circle of friends.

PHYSICAL PROFILE
Cassie is a beauty by most standards. She has brown hair, brown eyes, and a lovely natural smile. She is reasonably tall and slender. Some would say she has the body of an athlete, when in actuallity, the only sports she's played were vollyball in high school, and a little springball in college. She does hike a lot, so perhaps that attributes itself to a well-kept figure and good health.

Though she has been issued appropriate Starfleet uniforms due her rank, she often chooses to wear civilian attire (with her rank appropriately visible). It is not uncommon to see her in a casual dress, or jeans and a blouse. She tends to wear her issued uniform(s) for more formal or semi-formal needs.
